Coach Hupp provides the Blue Riptide with valuable leadership and coaches the boys in life, leaving a lasting impression upon the players.  He maintains statistics as a valuable tool for the team. He remains a friend to Coach Roberts and the team! Thank you!

Coaching:  Coach Steve Hupp has only been coaching soccer since the spring of 2003 when he joined forces with his favorite Head Soccer Coach, Tom Roberts, to coach their two youngest sons, Thomas and Isaac at the U6 level.  Coaching Stephen and Jesse at the U10 level followed in the fall of 2003 and they are now coaching their 6th team together.  Coach Hupp has also coached basketball off and on for over ten years, having played basketball all the way through High School and a little in College. Soccer Coach's License:  NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma (Comparable to Class D)

Occupation:  Corporate Secretary -- Estes Express Lines (employed 18.5 years - 5 in South Carolina and 13.5 in Virginia)

Special Interest: Playing and Coaching Basketball, Softball and of course Soccer.  Serving and helping others.  Following college sports.

Community Interest:  Bon Air Baptist Church, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Board Member), Needles Eye Ministries (Advisory Board Member), Upward Basketball

Military Service: Served 14 years of combined Active Duty and Reserve Duty in the U.S. Army from May, 1984 until receiving an Honorable Discharge in April, 1998.

College:  Virginia Military Institute (VMI), Lexington, VA; 1984 BS Civil Engineering (with distinction)

Family:    Wife; Renee (married 18 years) Children; Rebekah (16), Stephen (13) and Thomas (10)
